Update on State and Territory Sponsorship Program
There are new updates and changes to the Queensland and South Australia State Sponsorship programs.
1. Queensland’s skilled visa nominations are now open. You can find the updated list Queensland Skilled Occupation List (QSOL). A number of changes in relation to certain occupation have been included in the updated lists, including occupations listed on the occupations on the QSOL for Queensland Masters Graduates.
The following occupations on the QSOL for Queensland Masters Graduates require a minimum of 70 points:

• • Human Resource Manager
• ICT Project Manager
• ICT Managers nec
• Accountant (General)
• ICT Trainer
• ICT Account Manager
• ICT Business Development Manager
• Urban and Regional Planner
• Engineering Technologist
• ICT Business Analyst
• Systems Analyst
• Web Developer
• Developer Programmer
• Software Engineer
• Database Administrator
• ICT Security Specialist
• Systems Administrator
• Computer Network and Systems Engineer
• Network Administrator
• Network Analyst
• ICT Quality Assurance Engineer
• ICT Support Engineer
• ICT Systems Test Engineer
• ICT Support and Test Engineers nec
2. South Australia’s (SA) state nominated occupations for the 2018/2019 program year has been published. There have also been a number of changes made to the program this year, including changes for international graduates of South Australia. International graduates of SA must be currently working for at least the last three months in a skilled occupation in SA to be eligible for state sponsorship. This is different from the previous requirement, where they only needed to have just started working in a skilled occupation in SA.
Please note the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) has now increased the minimum points requirements for the General Skilled Migration Program from 60 points to 65 points.
